What librarian mentor, if any, has played a role in your professional life? How?

My best mentor was Heather Buley at East Heights Elementary and currently at South Middle School.  She taught me valuable information about circulation and keeping a library running smoothly.  She and I even observed Renee Hale and Sharon McCubbins on October 24^th through the KEA T2 Program.  We are always working on getting better together.

What advice do you have for librarians considering National Board Certification?

Just do it!!!!  This process made me so much better at my job and understanding the role a LMS plays in the school and the community.

I pursued a Rank I other than National Board Certification because….

I want to be the BEST library teacher I can be for my students and staff 🙂
